Recent Lottery Winners
The IAHS "2024 Scholarship Lottery" was held on Wednesday, June, 26 at Santa Maria di Prata in Cranston. We are pleased to announce that the following four (4) students each received a $2,000 scholarship to be used toward their college expenses:

IAHS Scholarship Lottery Program
The Italian American Historical Society of Rhode Island (IAHS) will award scholarships to students of Italian American descent who demonstrate high potential and who intend on furthering their education full time at a U.S. college or university. To determine the winners, a scholarship lottery drawing will be utilized for applicants meeting all eligibility criteria. All previous winners are ineligible to reapply.
*Criteria for Eligibility:
Be of Italian American descent
Be a citizen of the United States
Be a current member of IAHS or have a parent/guardian or grandparent who is a current IAHS member
Be enrolled in an accredited 4 year U.S. college or university program full time for the Fall of 2024
Have a documented minimum grade point average of 3.0
Submit a completed application and meet all IAHS scholarship related criteria and deadlines
Available Scholarships for Students:
There are a total of four scholarships. Two scholarships will be awarded in both categories (see below) in the amount of $2,000.00 each.
1: Graduating high school students who have been accepted and enrolled into a college full time and meet all eligibility and application requirements
2: Enrolled undergraduate college students who plan on continuing their full time enrollment and meet all eligibility and application requirements
Intent of Awards:
Scholarships are for one year only and are expected to be used to cover tuition, college room and board, and/or fees.
